Telehealth: We offer telehealth/virtual appointments for people residing in Illinois. All telehealth is done on our HIPAA compliant portal VSee. You will receive a unique link to your session and each week you'll receive session reminders unless you opt out.
First session for kids & teens: For in-person sessions you can wait in the waiting room and help yourself to tea/water while you wait for your therapist to greet you. For minors, we recommend a caregiver to be present for the first session to discuss presenting concerns in the home and collaborate on goals. For younger kids, we recommend a parent intake session within the first week of initiating therapy. We partner closely with families and schools to ensure interventions and tools are practiced in other environments. Parents are expected to join at the end of each session to hear what the child learned in order to bridge skills to the home environment.
Session Length/Duration: Sessions are typically around 45-53 minutes in length, depending which insurance company you have. Initially, we recommend weekly sessions to build rapport and establish a strong therapeutic relationship. Eventually, your therapist may recommend bi-weekly sessions.
Insurances accepted: BCBS PPO/Blue Choice, Cigna, United Healthcare, Aetna, NorthShore HMO #147 Unified Physicians, Optum.
We also supply clients that are out-of-network with a "super bill" (a detailed summary of services received) that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. You are responsible for contacting your insurance company to determine if they will reimburse for out-of-network as we cannot guarantee which insurance plans will reimburse and which will not.
Fees: For private pay clients, the cost of sessions is $200 for the initial assessment session, and $150 each following session. Please note that we offer sliding scale for individuals who qualify.
Exposure Response Prevention Clients: Please note that if you are seeking ERP sessions, exposures are not created right away. You will meet with your therapist and conduct a coping skills inventory to assure you have the right skills to regulate and process exposures. You will then be engaged in a value sort, process, and will be asked to complete an exposure hierarchy. It can take anywhere from 3-5 sessions before an exposure is performed.
Good Faith Estimate: A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is a document provided to clients under the No Surprises Act (H.R. 133 - which went into effect on January 1, 2022), which ensures transparency in healthcare costs. For therapy, it outlines the expected fees for services, helping clients understand potential costs before they begin.
It's important for clients to know that:
A Good Faith Estimate is not a bill but a forecast of expected cost of services.
Actual costs may vary depending on the services provided.
You have the right to dispute charges that are at least $400 more than the initial estimate.
It's available to anyone who is uninsured or self-paying for services.
A Good Faith Estimate promotes financial clarity, helping clients make informed decisions about their care.
If you have any questions about your estimate or would like more details, feel free to contact us. For more information about your rights under the No Surprises Act, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
